More info - 1.35gb, coming down rather slow (I have FIOS 15mb down, most stuff is down in no time). Had to clear some space up to make it fit. Stupid 20GB hd. Awesome, at any rate - this game looks amazing.

update...still nothing, but this show sucks ass. Some of the worst acting I've ever witnessed. Thanks folks at Bioshock. You could have picked a UFC show or something...anything would have been better than this dribble.

Same here - the release date change crushed this game for me. I'll be busy w/ Bioshock. But if the demo and player reviews are good, I'll pick it up later.
I've been watching and waiting for this game to come out for a while notw. I was pretty excited when I read one of the earlier release dates of July 14 (or so). I figured, great no games are grabbing my attention for June/July, pick this one up and fill the gap till Aug/Sep. Now that it's pushed back to mid Aug (or so), it has to compete with other games (Bioshock) for my $60. I would think that a smarter move would have been to get it out before some of the big guns arrived. This game lo...
It better fall under the "you get a refund" category!!! It was $139 for the fix, an extra year, and 1 month of live.
Well, since I don't see any comments on this one - I thought I'd leave something. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this game. It should be a nice way to end the summer drought. Sure, it feels like Oblivion, but that to me is a good thing. The reputation system, as well as other facets of the game, look like they'll bring some additonal challenges forcing the player to make tough choices. Come on July 29 (or whenever it's due out)!
It means that the game is just that much closer to release! I can't wait for this one. Nice list of achievements here.

OK, just kidding - Yeah, I agree - this is the lineup I've been waiting for. SO glad that OVerlord is coming soon, now that there's only a couple days of Halo 3 Beta left. I need something to play... Bioshock and Mass Effect, are on the top of my list (right after Halo 3).
1st - Halo has a art and what not based upon a world/enviroment from 2001. You can't take the Halo universe and change it's style to match something like GOW w/o loosing the feel. I'm glad they do not look the same.
2cnd - as stated time and time again - it's a Beta.
3rd - They are completely different game styles. It's not comparing apples to apples... both are great games and extremely fun - but they completely different play styles. Again - how can this be a good compari...
Why approve this sort of "news"? It's pointless.
But I'd rather see a sequal or whatever, over a remake or port. If you haven't played the game, it's very good and I think was overlooked by most.
I'd prefer to have the last installment of Halo more of the tried & true than of some new, "mature" game or style. I think that Bungie did the right thing staying close to the environments and gameplay that made Halo so popular since 2001. I don't want to see and play a "Gears of Halo"...I want to see Halo.
Upgraded and refined - Sure, but Halo the way it's meant to be. Save the "mature" frontier for the next IP. Or, don't mess up a good thing... ...
Best Buy trying to gouge the consumer? Who woulda thunk it?? I work close to BB, CC, walmart, compusa, target, etc. Unfortunately, their stores have the better setup and selection (typically). Although 4 out of 5 times I go there I swear I'm done shopping at BestBuy...I keep going back. The staff treats you poorly, the prices are always too high, the "rewards" program is a joke, some of their practices are questionable, at best, and so on. Gotta run, time for my weekly trip up ...
